The duration of therapy very much depends on the clients presentation of issues, for example if the client is presenting with one set issue like a specific phobia then this can be quick , e.g 6 sessions, or if it is more complex and more broad then it can take longer. It is very much individualised based.
We first start of to explore what is going on for you and look at the history of your life to see if there are any core beliefs or past events that have triggered you to be affected in the here and now , then after this exploration, we then go into treatment mode of working on processes of how you can work on your thinking and behaviours to move out of the way you are feeling. These could involve practical approaches like facors such as diet ,lifestyle which may be impacting on your mood and how to manage this better to improve your overall well being.
Yes as this therapy of CBT is quite skills based and so what we call " homework" is techniques that you have learnt in the sessions that you take home and use at the times when you need it the most like times of anxiety or lowness, to ease those symptoms and learn you can be ok. However this may not be every session.
Anxiety is a normal reaction to stress and can be beneficial in some situations. It can alert us to dangers and help us prepare and pay attention. Anxiety Disorders differ from normal feelings of nervousness or anxiousness, and involve excessive fear or anxiety.
Depression is a low mood that lasts for a long time, and affects your everyday life.
In its mildest form, depression can mean just being in low spirits. It doesn’t stop you leading your normal life but makes everything harder to do and seem less worthwhile. At its most severe, depression can be life-threatening because it can make you feel suicidal.
You can pay either in cash when you see me at the end of each therapy session, or you can pay by card via paypal on this website or bank transfer whereby I can give you my bank details.
The frequency of therapy sessions can be weekly (recommended) or as often as you prefer , it is very much at your discretion and how quick you wish to work on your concern.
You can contact me via phone , you can leave me a message (voicemail or text) and I will get back to you (please leave a clear message with how you would like to be contacted and what time) or using this websites contact tab or by email. If needed I can contact you on the weekend.

I can work on different anxieties, depression, and lifestyle issues, however if I deem an issue made more for e.g. counselling then I may suggest to work on this in therapy after leaving this therapy, but it is recommened to have a gap before you work on another issue. I will advise at the time of therapy what to do.
However it is also dependant on what you wish to work on at this time as some clients wish to only work on one issue then work on another issue in future time.
I mostly work weekday evenings (Monday to Friday) and weekend mornings (Saturday and Sunday) . This would have to be established upon discussion with what you would like and what I can do. I have no problem in discussing this with you, just call me.
