A higher quality of life!
Having worked in the NHS for over 15 years as a CBT therapist (and low intensity worker), I understand how difficult it can be for a person to engage in therapy. However, I have learnt how giving time, knowledge, openness to explore what you are going through and where it has come from, in a non-judgmental environment can really help you overcome your fears, worries, loneliness, despair or of feeling like your stuck in a rut of anxiety and or depression.
I offer Cognitive Behavioural Therapy under the guidelines of the National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE) from the Department of Health for anxiety and/or depression. They recommend it as the first line of treatment for anxiety and or depression, which shows a better improvement rate than medication and less relapse rate. In my private practice for adults I treat the following mental health issues:
. Stress Managment
. Improving your life
· Depression & low self esteem
· Anxiety for below
· Phobias (fear)
· PTSD (Trauma)
· Generalised anxiety
· Health anxiety
· Body Dysmorphic disorder
· Long term health conditions
I am qualified and registered with the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). It is the lead organisation for CBT in the UK.
I can offer therapy in the following languages:
Additionally, I can work with culturally specific issues which have triggered mental health issues in the black minority and ethnic communities (BME).
I work in the early evening on weekdays and on weekends as I understand how it impacts your life style less.
I am more than happy to chat for a free 20 mins consultation to discuss what you would like and how I can help you.
I’m here to help you to navigate through your feelings and help you gain back control of your life to meet your goals via the therapy of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) with a holistic approach.
Having been through mental health issues myself at various stages of my life, I have first hand experience of the difficulties a person can face in overcoming these which I now have worked through (with the help of mental health therapy). These being witnessing domestic abuse as a child, childhood bullying, self esteem, health anxiety, post natal depression, general anxiety and depression.
Having worked in the NHS since 2005 as a primary care wellbeing practitioner moving onto an accredited cognitive behavioural therapist in mental health therapy. I help people who suffer with depression, OCD, phobias, PTSD, generalised anxiety disorder, panic, health anxiety and body dysmorphic disorder. I also work with clients with long term health conditions which effect their mental health.
Having been through mental health issues myself, my aim for my clients is to provide a holistic mental health therapy approach which will not only be using a trained method of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, but I will also include looking into the past to draw on behaviours brought forward alongside physical health, Socialisation, employment issues, relationships and financial issues to help mental wellbeing in relation to depression and anxiety.
